15Nice place to visit. Rum punches are good. Just don't eat anything here. Just don't. I know it's cheap, but please, don't.
If you go here to see the Pirates of the Caribbean movie sets you will be disappointed. Hence the 2 stars.
If you come here to see a super nice bay with beautiful lush hills surrounding the water you are ok. If you just wish to hang out at the breach this is also a good place.
My recommendation is that you go to the black falls first and drop by this for 30 min on the way back.
Umm. The place was in a sad shape in January 2020. But clearing worked fine, and the small falls within a walking distance were good place to take a natural shower. This was the main filming location for Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl!
Shabby and run down. They are trying hard to make something out of nothing. Extortionate price on lunch. Didn't do a boat trip
There was very little of interest. Selling itself on Pirates of the Caribbean filming which had taken place.
Mooring was a challenge and then the boat guy never came back to untie us even though we paid him to do so
A good place for a big fan like me, but there's not much to do. The place hasn't been well maintained so there are some nice but deteriorating set pieces. There's a restaurant there with lots of tacky pirate decorations. There's also a splendid Caribbean beach which you can swim in and the arched rock from Jack Sparrow's introductory scene is there and we swam out to it. (But careful to avoid the sea urchins) I was also told that the cave of treasure from the first movie is there too, and locals can take you there in a row boat, but I didn't go myself.
This is a nice little port. Nothing fancy, but a great place to grab a mooring for the night.
The atmosphere is great if you are looking for something close to authentic for a local town.
Shorts and t-shirts are the basic dress code.
Cool to see the spot in real life! The locals are super friendly & helpful.
So Jack Sparrow was actually drunk while acting the scenes in all the different islands and bays including Walliabou bay in the Caribbean! The local rum was so tasty and the locals were so welcoming he couldn't help himself.worth a visit, I was there during off season so I can imagine how lovely it must get during season
The area still has a vintage kind of look where people can come to get something to eat or grab a drink!
There is a restaurant, cheap potable water for the boat. 20 min down the road there is a nice waterfall one can swim/wash in. You can also clear customs after 4 PM and wonder through left over Pirates of the Caribbean props.
Beautiful nature, quiet locale, and delicious food. Go for the set and artifacts, stay for the view.
Excellent place if you love nature and local people, food and business. 2nd time we anchored here. You have to
negotiate about prices most people see you as a walking
I like this place because of Jhonny depp movie makeing spot so I like this island ️ love you jack sparrow
Excellent food, serviced fresh and delicious, wait staff are very friendly. Area has seen much improvement since my last visit 4 years ago. I am impressed!
