Sunset Shores Beach Hotel

Great hotel but a bit dated, I didn't mind though. You get the authentic Carribean vibe here as it is really laid back. However, the restaurant was overpriced and the food was average, we ended up going elsewhere for our dinners.

Whew, where do I start? The customer service reps were friendly, so that's a plus. The negatives, we were given an outdated hotel room. Things in the room were tattered and wholes were in the wall. There was no trash can in the room. The cleanliness of the room is not built for a babies immune system. There were no restaurant menus in the room, so I called down and it was a back and forth to get me a menu that I never recieved. I finally looked at the menu and it was a hard pass. The room was very unpleasant. 2nd hotel since I have been here and definitely the worse. At least I tried based off of previous compliments, but I'm not impressed. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Also, I wasn't a fan of the bar restaurant area. Very unprofessional. As workers you should never insult a customer and you should never drink a drink you made for them. Very unsanitary.

Breakfast review only, we stayed at Beachcomber next door. This a ~3.4 breakfast place. We had pancakes and also beef hash, the latter came with 2 eggs with fresh fruit and toast. Good preparation, quality, and quantity of food. Nice setting just above the beach. Nice staff. Prep time was somewhat lengthy at 35 minutes or so, despite not being busy at 9: 45 AM. Nice place for breakfast as long as one is not on a schedule. Not memorable, but pretty good.

The room makes you feel at home. It had a musty smell when the air conditioner was off. We was hosting a workshop there. The conference room is small but it is great to be able to control the flow of things. Food was not on time.

This was a wonderful holiday, the view of the gardens, beach and Young's Island was amazing, the people that worked there were so kind, helpful and always said hello when they saw you. I did mean to find out which mattresses and pillows they use as they were brilliant, so comfortable. The rooms were cleaned everyday. There was bottled water in the room although the tap water is fine, I made coffee with it everyday as there were tea/coffee making facilities in the room as well as a TV with Freeview and aircon. There is a bar and restaurant in the hotel so you have everything you need but if you do want to wander, there are a few grocery shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance or you could jump in a minivan bus. There are bus stops at the top of the road. I am so glad I managed to visit this Island and stay at such a lovely place.

This is honestly a really good hotel, with great food at the restaurant. Very accommodating staff but the rooms are past due on a remodel. The rooms are very basic. No in room tables for eating or your laptop. The plugs are mostly 220v, with a single 110v outlet. The bathrooms look dated and the in room safes require batteries.

You can't ask for better old school but great but most of all out taxi driver captain was great

The rooms need updating. The food portion is small and not value for money. Most items on the menu are not available. The lounge chairs are old and need updating. The reception staff is very helpful. I would not stay here again '

My mother and I stayed here on vacation for just under a week and had the best time! It’s definitely the place to stay on St. Vincent! Everyone is so friendly, the grounds are beautiful, the beds are comfy, and the location is perfect. Can’t wait to return!

This is small family owned hotel with a homely charm. Charming service from the reception and bartenders.

I did a three nights stay after three years hiding away in the cold and it was the best decision I made. I had to make some change to my room and Ronesha was there to make sure I was with the room change and the view. I also love the fact it's right on the beach and so quiet you just don't want to leave at all. Every time I go to the restaurant Angie waas right there asking how is everything and making sure am comfortable. I will recommend sunset shores to anyone already planning my next stay.

Sunset Shores is set on the idyllic Island of St Vincent. A smaller hotel with excellent views across the sea. Young Island which is a private Island is a very short boat ride away, and can be seen clearly from the hotel. The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and cleaned everyday. There is a safe, kettle, tea & coffee in the rooms. There is a bar in the reception area where you can order cocktails and other beverages. The restaurant serves a limited amount of food, so I'd make arrangements to eat at the adjacent hotel restaurants. Breakfast is also limited. The food is very good especially the traditional roti and curry chicken. The pricing is fair. The beauty of this hotel is that the grounds have a range of fruit bearing trees in abundance. Depending on which month you stay the ripe fruit will attract a lot of flies when you are eating in the restaurant, but not so much around the pool area. You are free to pick the fruit including the avocados. If you decide to stay here be aware that the beach here is black in parts from the volcanic ash, but the sand is soft and the natural rocks and small coves make it truly a sight to behold. I gave this five stars due to the scenery, customer service, and cleanliness of the rooms. I would recommend this hotel & would definitely stay here again.

Walking into the reception area and being greeted with the beautifully picturesque seascape is nothing short of fantastic, I loved the waiting area's seating, and general feel of the space especially at daytime, poolside is nice at nights. Would have been ideal to hear soft lounge or Caribbean music just to enhance the ambience when dinning or sitting by the bar. Bear in mind Charging and use of electronics can be a challenge if your devices are 110v, given the fact that 220v is widely utilized on the island and hotel room outlets are outfitted as such.

Very good location and the staff was very nice and accommodating even with a wedding party. They waived room service fees for the day and gave GREAT service. The Manager made sure I was good to go. Thumbs Up!

Only ate at the restaurant. The BLT was delicious. The service and Long Island Iced Tea were excellent.

Excellent place to stay, location is amazing, right by the beach.and let's mention the staff that became my friends.so awesome, so friendly.everyone, no questions about it. I am gonna miss you guys.

Great setting on the beach. The rooms mostly have sea views.the best bit are the beds.best we have slept in.we will be back next week.

Superb venue for a function, great parking, quiet surrounding, safe, the beach or the pool is a cool down option.

But my take away was the rum punch at the bar.shouts to Hudson & his bar team.

The receptionist at check in and checking out was professional, warm welcome, clean environment, nice breeze, beautiful view, quiet rooms. Patricia helped us to our room and she make sure we got our local hairoun drinks and checked on us. I will recommend this place to anyone, the manager Sandra is the best. I felt safe and at home during my stay. The workers really care for the customers. The dining room staff called us to find out if we need dinner. I really enjoyed my weekend at Sunset shores hotel

The customer service from booking my reservation was poor. Their communication is not acceptable at all. I will not be going back and I wouldn't advise anyone to.
